What happens if I'm living in a nursing home, assisted-living facility, or psychiatric institution? Can I still vote?
Connecticut law requires Registrars of Voters to visit these types of locations to provide supervised Absentee-Ballot voting, which must be announced in advance. Connecticut law also requires that the Registrar return as many times as necessary to accommodate anyone who wants to vote. So if you are unavailable when the Registrar visits, simply request that they return, and they will do so. Contact your local Registrar of Voters for more information about planned visits.
